Veterinary Surgery Thornton Heath

Mark Nelson veterinary surgery has been established since 1982 and until recently was a branch surgery of Mark and Anne Nelson. It comprised of the branch in Thornton Heath, but also a surgery in South Croydon. The business was started by Mark’s father Michael in 1976. It was a small, modest set up initially which held open surgeries, and people were often seen queuing out of the door!

Michael Nelson was assisted in running the surgery by his wife Gina, before being joined by his son Mark who graduated from Glasgow University in 1980. In 1982, a branch surgery was opened at Woodville road in Thornton Heath which Mark ran, as well as assisting his father in South Croydon.

In April 2011 the two surgeries became independent practices, and Mark now continues his work at Thornton Heath.
